WELCOME FAMILIES!

A RELAXED SESSION

Sessions with me are relaxed and fun. I don't expect your kids to be on their "best behavior". Don't feel bad if they aren't being perfect little angels during the session. I expect them to be who they are. I want the experience to be fun for everyone so that your kids will be happy to return to me for sessions for many years to come. Trust that I will get natural and beautiful expressions from your child, and that's my goal. Since children often feel the need to perform for their parents, I ask that you give us some space to work. I know it's hard because you are probably thinking this session HAS to go well. But, trust me, parents that are overly anxious about getting everything perfect usually result in less than cooperative kids. So please, let your kids be themselves and we will do great.

WHAT TO WEAR

I recommend comfortable clothing in neutral colors like beige, gray, and cream. I also like olive green, peach and light blue and the other pastels. I recommend especially staying away from bright white, bright yellow, and the jewel colors in red, orange, green and blue. These colors can draw the attention to themselves and away from your faces. Don't all wear the same thing or the same color, but keep your choices down to 2 colors that will blend well. Soft beiges, creams, and grays are beautiful together. Sometimes patterns are cute on kids. If your child is dressed in a pattered item, then pair it with something simple and keep your own items simple. Jeans are fine. Having clothing in the same tonal range will keep the attention on your faces rather than on clothing.

And, of course, you can wear whatever you want. :-) Often crazy combinations and bright colors will end up working just fine.

WHEN TO PAY

I don't charge a fee to reserve a session and I have found it easier on people if they just write one check rather than one to reserve and one at the session. However, if it works better for you to have the price split, just ask. This is a gentle reminder that your check is due when we meet for your session.
